Academy Camps Weather Notice

August 17th, 2022, 10:26pm: Camp are canceled For Wednesday this week. 

Youth Camps: Youth Camps are canceled for Wednesday August 17th, 2022 due to strong riptides. The conditions are not safe for students, surfers or swimmers in the ocean on Nantasket Beach, Hull, MA.  

Adult Camps: Adult Camps are canceled due to strong winds and riptides. Although winds will be setting down strong rip tides will continue with high sea warning for the coastal waters of New England. High sea advisory are in affect. Northeast Surfing Steve. Both camps will continue on Thursdays at there schedule times. Please read below for more details.

Surf Lessons: Surf lessons for today Wednesday are canceled due to the High sea advisory are in affect in our off shore coastal waters. 

SURF REPORT: Wednesday: Unsurfable seas, onshore winds with blowout wave conditions throughout the day. Strong rips on sandbars. Thursday and Friday: Waves 2-3 feet offshore winds, clean waves for most of the day. 

Northeast Surfing weather report BY MAGIC SEAWEED. Strong Winds blowing up to 40mph, seas up to 5 feet in height. Dangerous rip currents. Northeast Surfing is considering canceling camp on Wednesday August 17th, 2022. We will update this report by 7:00 am on Wednesday morning. 

Week Academy Camps & Lessons Weather Agreement: Northeast Surfing will surf in the rain, while in the ocean you won’t even feel the rain. What we don’t like is strong winds or storms. We will hold the day academy no matter what the weather is like. We always meet at the beach where our tent is located all summer. We have an extremely weather proof tent with sides for real bad weather. Other plans in place to accommodate any weather situations. No refunds are given based on any weather conditions. No waves, waves too big, flat, thunder classes ending early, etc. If you look at your receipts you paid for 4 days of surf camp with the 5th day free or used as a weather day. The safety of all our students comes first. We do not really use the weather day much but when we do, it's for your safety. 

Underlying Dangers: Riptides, strong winds, large surf Whether you can see these dangerous conditions or not we need to take them into consideration. Please trust us, weather is our life and the safety of our students is the most important policy in our company.
