THURSDAY REPORT

TODAY…..THURSDAY…..STORE…..OPEN…..10:00AM to 5:00PM
5:50AM…..KENNEBUNK BEACH…..THURSDAY MORNING
Tiny 1/2ft glassy little peelers at kennebunk.
Looking like a nice shaped wave…just too small for surfing.
No change expected today.
Tomorrow we may have enough bump for a longboard…
Tomorrow will still be tiny …only about knee high…
but I think it will have a little more punch and should be logable.
For those who don’t know…
a “Log” is a vintage or traditional shaped longboard…not one of the super light heavily rockered potato chip modern longboards.
The logs are much better in small surf.
Saturday should have some nice little knee high peelers at kennebunk.
I planned our fundraiser/contest months ago…and considered that there may not be much swell.
That is why I picked this weekend…tides will be dead low just as we are starting…so hopefully we will have solid thigh high peeling glassy waves as the tide pushes in.
Sunday may not be big enough to surf
In the tropics we have Igor struggling to survive today…
but after tomorrow conditions should become better for him to strengthen over the weekend.
Igor is forecast to become a hurricane late Saturday night or Sunday.
His forecasted track is looking good for us…so if
all goes well we will have hurricane swell in 7-10 days.
Today…kennebunk…Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Highs near 70. West winds around 10 mph.
