The surf is waist high with light winds. I expect it to drop off quickly today. Several people were rescued by surfers this weekend. Good going. So much about keeping us out of the water.

The surf is still nice at both Second And Eastons. Second was closed to everybody friday afternoon and is scheduled to open Sunday. Eastons was closed to swimming and should be open later today. For more information call the beach offices. The closure situation can change at anytime. As usual I will update as needed thoughout the day

Large swells are now hitting the beach. We have a cross wind that is softening the shoulders and making for long rides.

The surf has been slowly rising all day a little while ago I saw a really nice chest high set. The wind has picked up from the west. I would expect tomorrow will be real nice.

I just looked out from the Snack bar office and what a surprise. A waist high set came rumbling through. I do mean rumble it was pretty hollow and had a lot behind it. Projections for surf from Earl my be running late. The onshore breeze has kicked in but is forecast to be very light. An added plus is that the $300,000 seaweed eater is working and the water is seaweed free. So stop down grab a few waves and stop at the snack bar and get something to eat and drink. Check back often today as I will post any changes in conditions immediately.

Nice surf. Light off shore winds, Waist to chest. Yesterday’s surf was big but there were few shoulders. This morning there are long rights to be had along the cliff walk. There is no need to say later this week we are in for a wild ride as Earl is projected to cross over the cape.

Second beach is smaller that Easton’s but second is breaking closer to shore. The break at Easton’s is the length of the beach and not offering much of a shoulder. The Cliff walk break is nice. My choice for the day is the Cliff.

Well, not as big as expected. Sets are running waist to chest the lenght of the beach. The wind is light. If conditions change I will update. Going to Second shortly and will post a report in about an hour.
