The NJ Surfing Hall Of Fame (NJSHOF) is proud to announce the 1st annual NJSHOF “Surfers Gala” to be held at The Anchors Bend in Asbury Park on Saturday June 11th 2016.
The NJSHOF was founded in 2015 and recently inducted its first class of HOF members. Induction will be held every two years moving forward. The “Gala” will be an event to honor the current crop of New Jersey surfing professionals and amateurs making an impact on the sport and culture today. This event will give the proper honor and credit to those individuals in a fun and exciting event to be held annually.
The NJSHOF has selected and voted on the top 3 nominees from across the state in multiple categories with winners to be announced at the Gala. Awards being given include: Surfer of the Year, Shaper of the Year, Artist of the Year, Young Gun of the Year, Presidents Cup, Shop of The Year, Environmental Steward and a special “Legends” award to be given to an individual for outstanding contribution to the surfing scene in NJ.
NJ Surfing Pros scheduled to appear include Sam Hammer, Mike Gleason, Randy Townshend, Dean Randazzo and many NJ Hall Of Famers. This talent all in one room is truly the Event of the Summer for all NJ Surfers.
The Event will be held at The Anchors Bend in Asbury Park NJ. A Happy Hour will take place from 7-8pm. Awards will start promptly at 8pm. The Gala will debut the new preview for “The Endless Stoke-NJ Surf Documentary”as well as a highlight film of the top surfing from 2015-2016 shot by the top photo and video experts from NJ.
An After Party will follow the ceremony at 9:30. . The After-Party will be feature Live music from the“North Enders”; a 7-piece all star band ensemble.
